How Do You Find Out What Bios You Are Using?
« on: October 10, 2004, 03:38:00 PM »

Here is the predicament.

DreamX, a pre-mod xbox.  It comes to you flashed, with some sort of modchip thrown together from off brand parts by the company that makes the DreamX.  Wants to flash better bios on the thing, but don't want flash to end up erasing a 1mb bios and trying to replace it with a 256k that will not fit, because if ya can't boot to evolutionx, yer stuck with a shitty, unmodded console and no way to flash its chip.

How do you find out either what bios are on a chip, or how big the bios you put on that chip should be?

Thanks, yeah I thought so too.  I don't guess so for the Bravo, though.  I remember asking something to find out if mine had this chip, and I don't think the answer implied yes at all.
