k, so i've had no problems installing larger hdds before on softmodded xboxes, when it's been a pain with this newer (v1.6?) xbox.

i can install the softmod via Ltools easily on this newer xbox, but with the method i use for upgrading hdds:

1. get eeprom of new xbox
2. load eeprom with "liveinfo", and get the p/w for the new hdd that's being put in
3. yada yada yada, then cloning the new hdd with the existing stock xbox hdd

here's my problem, i can't load the v1.6 eeprom into liveinfo to obtain the password for the new hdd

is there another program i can use to load that v1.6 eeprom and then to obtain the new hdd password? or do you have any other suggestions that i should try it some other way...

also, it seems i can't downgrade the dashboard (as i get an error 16 or whatever, i think it's a 16)
