Here's The Situation...
« on: October 09, 2004, 10:25:00 PM »

Ok, here's the sitution,
I have a factory xbox that I modded using the x-chip. For those that dont know what modchip that is, it can easily be found in google.
Well, I had a bios that came with it(Cromwell), and I didn't know at first what to do with it so, I was messing around with it, and you guessed it, messed it up.
I accidently deleted a file called something like, xbox_dashboard dot something-or-another. Well I was stumped for a while, trying to figure out what to do to fix that, and I eventually unplugged my modchip, and reinstalled it again. That seemed to fix it as the xbox would actually boot instead of the red/green flashing LED on the power button. Instead the xbox booted to the normal, xbox main screen. I was like yes, it works! But it didn't work, as I couldn't use any of my modchips features, whatever they may be. So my questions are these,
How exactly do you flash the bios, when you dont have one anymore? I cant seem to get the crossover cable I have to work a FTP connection from xbox/pc, and I also cant seem to make a bootdisc either, what do I do in that regard? and finally, if I cant install via disc or via crossover cable, is there a third option?
