Can Evox M8 Bios Boot In V1.6?

I bought an Aladdin mod chip that comes pre-flashed with Evox M8 for 1.0-1.5. Can I install it in my v1.6 xbox and boot it up? Will it work or cause any damage?

If I can boot up, I can quickly run raincoat to reflash the mod chip with Evox M8_v1.6.

The reason why I ask is because I don't have a programmer for PC. I also don't have an older xbox to reflash.

Please help to answer my question.

yes, it will boot

yes, it can cause damage

in MY opinion, you should be able to quickly boot and reflash without causing permanent damage.
