hi.
i'm new to all this and i badly need help.
i have an xecuter 2.6lite with xapter installed in a 1.4/5 xbox.
at cromwell screen i ran Digital Chimp's BoxStall CD v1.0.
now when i turn on with the chip enabled the xbox resets twice then stays on with a blanks screen.
when i turn on with chip disabled i get the service required screen with 05 in the top left corner.
can anyone tell me whats going on?
how can i fix this?

Hi,

As far as i am aware, error 5 means HDD is NOT locked.
Retail bioses require it to be locked.

with the chip on i only get a blank screen,with the chip off i get the service required screen.

Hi,
Soz for delay.
U say the xbox resets twice with a blank screen.
Does the xbox frag? i.e. does the power light flash Red/Green?
If so, then u may have to re-seat the pin header.
Try this & let us know the result.

U will still get error 5 with chip disabled as the hdd will need locking.

We'll deal with that if u cannot get the chip working again.

I have a X2.6 with two banks...I used flashbios/cromwell that came with the Xecuter to flash the other bank with X2 bios...when I switch to the other bank however, the Xbox restarts twice and then frags(I can't get the CD tray out although I'm not sure if that's just because I'm stupid or something). Am I suppose to use an Evox CD now or am I doing something wrong. I used a 512k Xecuter 2 bios that seemed like it succesfully loaded(in fact I loaded/flashed it twice).

FYI, the FlashBios/Cromwell is still working on the other bank.
