Bad Flash, Xbm2 Won't Read Chip...
« on: September 16, 2004, 06:12:00 PM »

I had a bad flash with my X2.3B Pro (FlashX froze when it was flashing, I was using it because I had deleted Cromwell with my first ever flash ages ago, I was upgrading the BIOS) and now I need to use the built-in programmer.

However, I know I have a defective adapter, so I did the trick with the wires (inverting them). But it still won't detect my chip. I have the Xbox on when I do it, I've checked the number of the port, 378, in Device Manager, but I always get the undetected error (0xFFFF).

I'm running XP Pro, btw. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
