When I try to install UDE2 using the MA exploit, the installer runs, but once I reboot the xbox (after the light starts flashing green), it goes back to the normal MS dashboard.  I have tried every possible allowable combination of dashboard, bios, and loader for a 1.6 box w/5838 kernel and nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions?

I got ltools 1.8 and tried to do a backup.  Since I have a 1.6 box, the screen is distorted, and it has been backing up for at least twenty minutes; however, the light is still orange.  The distorted screen has changed several times during that period, with the last change (about 5-10 minutes ago) leaving a solid block of blue at the top with a much larger block of green at the bottom of the screen, with some blending between the two.  The screen has not changed since then.  Is it safe to turn off?  Should I continue to let it run?

OK, I turned it off and everything is still OK; I suspect the problem may have been because I did not delete my old 1.7.5 backup,  so I deleted the backup and am about to try backing up again.

It's doing the same thing.  I don't want to try to install UXE until I'm sure it will work.  Any suggestions?

This may be a coincidence, but my xbox hung the first time i tried to backup. I ftp'd in and deleted backup_linux. I then turned off my dvd player which my xbox sits on and ran it again, it worked fine this time. I don't know if this was the problem. Curios if anyone else has a thought.

Im getting the same problem, when I check the ltools.log it says "Necessary files in gamesave not found" when it just worked on the stock drive no problem, I try it on a 250 and I keep getting that error, I guess I will try the 1.8 version see if that makes a difference...
