Sorry I think at the beginning of this thread I wasn't clear.  It seems like you are seeing what I was trying to say though.  Just basically I was trying to figure out if the X3 bios would be hacked like the Xecuter2 was so that it could be flashed to the TSOP and still have "most" of the functionality as it would on the chip.  Glad to see it looks like this thread got a few people interested.  Just thought it would be a good place to maybe get some ideas out and whatnot.  Thanks for your info.

the main new part to the x3 bios is being able to change the bios setting without having to reflash your chip every time. so no more buring new disks every time you need to change the flubber, ir having to re-ftp/usb your bios.

at least the devs behing smartxx and ozx have done a thing or two in the past, the aladdin team hasnt done jack last I checked.

the flashable part of the x2 was stolen from the matrix from the xodus team
the first xectuer was not flashable


i am not saying they suck and i will admit i use x2 bios on all mod install other then 1.6
i like them i just dont like the going to propriatary part
that is just going against what i thought they belived in(remember once the 1.6 came out the whole speach about we need to work together and come up with a solution) and all the tikes they bashed other chips and said we do this for the scene to help other not just to sell chips (in reference to there x2 bios's)
if it is a matter of others chip not having the needed features then i understand that but i and i am sure thousand of others would like a non propritary version also
and i dont like the chip os's that much either

do any of you people actually read? there will be a new free bios for every chip based on the x2 bios and editable with xbtool.
the x3 bios only works on x3 because other chips doesn't have the needed hardware.

what the hell are you talking about.

As Morglum said, check out numbnuts cheapmod - a flashable lpc mod - xodus was NOT the first, and xecuter hardly "Stole" it from them.  rolleyes.gif

guys grow up. X3 might run on X2 chips but most of the on-the-fly features will be disabled unless it's on the X3 chip. Unless the X3 is an OS (like how xenium, smartxx, x-chip is done) then i doubt it would run on other chips.

I haven't read mutch about the X3 but I think it goes somthing like that (be better to wait till it's released rather than bashin each & every team).

However if you have an X2 or 3rd generation/flashable chip I think I read somewere on the Xecuter news that they are going to release an updated X2 bios (correct me if i'm wrong). So the saying goes, if it aint broke don't fix it.  

Also about the solderless adapter thing, Xecuter did say thank you to Ozxodus for there design, they didn't steel it, they improved it.

first of all xecuter supported this scene with FREE bios's and utilities for 2 years...

and they STILL are going to release an updated x2 bios..

but you ungrateful pricks still want more handme outs..

and about the chips OS.. you havent even used it yet.. so dont even comment.. kthx

rolleyes.gif even though many used it! It is evident that people like to have the ablity to change boot order at least, if not fan speeds and colour mods, and TX have decided to satisfy that demand. And people love the work that NghtShd has consistently put in to develop bios editors.
