OK, back early, so checked the reset-on-eject gubbins of EvoX M8.
Running Px HDD Loader, press Eject, doesn't reset - cool!
Running EvolutionX, press Eject, doesn't reset - cool!
Playing a film in DVD-X 2, press eject, doesn't reset, freaks out - who cares!
Playing Burnout 2, press Eject, resets - cool!

All in all, the selective reset-on-eject is just fine.  No need for an "EjectFix" version!

QUOTE (NghtShd @ Jul 22 2004, 04:41 PM)
kaede2k1,

Thanks, I was just reading that thread.

BlaBLong seems to have had a bad flash. He said evox hung while flashing. So that isn't an EVtool/M8 issue.

grug can boot a DVD, but when he tries to load the dash he gets an error 21. I can't say where to place the blame here, but I'm guessing that it's trying to load the MS dash and for some reason the MS dash is balking. Without more information I can't say.

I have no idea about takagen's problem. He doen't give any information about his chip or bank selection or anything. I know there's a problem with some X2 chips if you don't do the banks right. I guess it has to with the entire chip being addressable when you choose the last bank and so you get the wrong init table or some such.

Umm, just noticed that an EVtooled M8 tries to load evoxdash, then avadash, then nexgen.

No xboxdash.xbe?

Bugger - I just replaced nexgen with evoxdash and knocked up 12 different versions of M8 / M8_16.

Never mind!
