it normally helps if you know what modchip you have installed

download FlashX (not xflash) and run it on your xbox
it's made by teamxecuter and comes with directions and is easy to figure out

well then you have other issues to worry about here then doing you
you need to buy a programmer, then embed an eeprom into 4981 that works, then flash that to the chip and it'll load the embedded eeprom, then load up configmagic and fix the onboard eeprom, then reflash your chip without the embedded eeprom
