Also would many people be interested in a linux version of this program?

There are many people who use linux alot (myself included) so I think a linux will be welcomed.

Guy

*raises hand* (I brought it up heh)

if you're making standard C stdio.h calls to do all the file editing it should be a painless change

I sent clogicgmather the files and info he needs to do that using the DLL version of xbflash I made for use with xbtool. It's extremely simple to use, if he chooses to use it.

re linux:
Xbflash won't work with linux because it uses the ms win32 cab libraries; that's why you haven't seen anly linux bios tools.

yeah compiled fine under slackware

w00t a fellow slackware user, somebody has good taste in distros  biggrin.gif . BTW clogicmather if you wanted to make a GUI easily under linux I think GLADE would be your best bet.

GLADE is a gui builder for GTK.. personally I suggested wxWindows since it's more portable (yeah, you can get GTK for windows too.. still wxWindows from the ground up is cross-platform)

uhm clogicmather did you just add the compiled version of the tool with your distribution?  That's gonna make it hard for a lot of linux users to use since any glibc differences == won't work.

I finaly have my blue flubber! I have 2 complants. The blue is sorta purplish and right before my blue xbox logo comes up I can see a hint of green. Other than that I love my new bios colors. Great job

O.k i am so close to having xbflash support. nightshade, i never got your email, could you send me the files again as currently im trying to use the normal source and getting some errors (see my email to you).
Assuming i can get xbflash support working expect another release tomorrow. Not sure how the animations gonna work, for now its presets but i can see an easy way to allow slightly more user interaction i the process if i think i have understood the way this is working correctly.

Guy

Id put some pics/vids up but i got nowhere to host them without sending them to ice9.

Use XBTool to unpack the BIOS you want to modify, and put flubbertool.exe in the folder it creates.  Next, run the tool and input the values.  Use XBTool to repack the BIOS, and flash it to your modchip.

Ok the I hit a snag with the scene geometry so here are the the instructions for the flubber color

goto 0x5d9a7 and from there overwrite the values with: e8 b6 34 fe ff 90 90

now goto 0x40e62, it should be a bunch of 0's. From there enter the values: C7 41 44 00 00 80 3E C7 41 48 00 00 80 3E C3

Ok now to explain how to change. the bold numbers the pointer locations I did red (44) first then changed green (48). The values for each are beside them I made thenm italic for easy viewing. The value for B is still in it's regular spot. I hope to have the scene geometry problem worked out soon but I'm not sure if I will.

w00ty w00t w00t I'm happy to announce another breakthrough I've succesfully been able set all the values of the fluber color RG and B there is no more need for one of them to be set to 1.0. I'm using the 4981.06. I'll going to try and do it for the scene geometry and fog as well and then I'll post instructions. As far as implementing it into clogicmathers tool I'll discuss it with him once I finalize everything.

YES! finally i can do what i've wanted to, been too lazy to try what was suggested to try before

so which one of those values is for blue then? how about alpha value?
and this will probably sound dumb, but just the values that are in bold are teh RGB?  and i thought they were stored backwards (BGR)
