This is my problem...it is kind of confusing though :huh: .

When I got my modchip I went straight to the store and bought a refurbished xbox.  When I got home I took it apart and installed my Xecuter 2.3B lite plus and everything worked fine (cromwell loaded).  But when I loaded my new bios onto the modchip (used executer 4977 bios) my xbox turned off (like it should), but then a screen popped up that read "oops something is wrong" with the number 19  in the top left corner.  So i figured that my modchip or bios was messed up so I uninstalled the modchip completely.  But my xbox is still messed up and says that it needs to be brought in for service and to contact the people at xbox.  

I did NOT turn my xbox on when i first got it (so i dont know if it ever worked).  My question is..Did i mess up my xbox or do you think that I bought it messed up.

I dont think that a bios can screw up the whole xbox, but i could be wrong.

could you please double check the error 19?
if it's definately a 19 then i would guess it has something to do with the bios, though 19 is undocumented

It could have possible been the number 16.  The screen popped up for a few seconds so i am not sure.  And another thing....the screen was cut in half, so i couldnt even read the entire error message.  I dont understand why my xbox would still be messed up even after my modchip is completely unistalled.  

Can this be fixed?

well if your xbox is newer than a 1.2? then you need atleast 4979
just try reflashing with 4981

how do i reflash it.  I cant reflash it with this screen....can I?  I have the new bios (executer 4981) but i dont know when I should insert it.  

Just to make sure that everyone knows this.....my xbox is still messed up when i disconnect the modchip...why would this happen from a bios?

Isn't the "oops error has occured" messages actually custom messages that are part of the newer bios's?  If so, then your bios was flashed fine and you're in fact getting some error to do with something else?

Try putting the chip back in and loading an evoX boot disk.

Ok I tried the evox disc, but nothing happened.  I think that i might have bought a bad xbox...or i messed it up with a bad bios.

actually the bios CAN screw up the whole xbox.

What size of bios did you use?  Theres the 1meg size and the 256kb size... if you flashed it with the wrong size, I suggest buying something to take your frustration out on.  It is fixable, but youll need to buy a programmer

I used a 1meg 4977 executer bios.  I filled in all four slots with 256 kb files when i created the iso file.  I hope this is the right one.  I have a nice baseball bat that I could smash stuff up if i screwed it up :lol:

So what do i do when i  get the programmer.  I could order one tomorrow if it is fixable

Yeah, as long as you have that programmer, you will 99% be ok.  Basically, the programmer hooks up from your pc to your xbox and it enables you to do a manual flashover.  Ive never done it personally but Ive seen a bunch of topics on it.  I would say do a bit of searching before buying the programmer just to make sure
