I am fairly new (one month old) to the xbox modding scene, but not to programming, and modding in general.

I have an idea, that I think can be accomplished with a series of evox scripts, but before I start writing and going down paths that have produced nothing before, I will propose my idea here so I don't waste anyone's time.

Its a gamesave exploit that will install UXE -> UnleashX on an unmodified xbox and on an unformatted hard drive. The plan goes like this.

You boot the regular xbox in 007 or MA or SC, and it boots into eVox.
UGE saves the hddinfo.txt on the memory card.
You replace the regular xbox hard drive with your unformatted new one.
UGE formats the new hard drive and sets up the hd key for you in eVox.
UGE copies UXE onto the C drive.

What issues are apparat with this setup, for I have found nothing on this subject before. All the gamesave exploit packages install UXE or anything else on a hard drive that has already been prepared...

I am working on the scripts now, and will post them this week.

the new harddisk must be locked somehow plus have at least the msdash installed to boot up. That's usually where xboxhdm or a chipped box would come in. I see where you're going with this and it is a good idea. I just don't know if it's possible to accomplish that with just a memcard and unmodded xbox. Good Luck tho, just my $.02

you can't just put an empty unlocked hd in an unmodded xbox.

It is doable, but not using EVOX or any XBE as the MS kernel do not allow you to plug another disk after it boot.

With linux it is possible but still difficult because the linux that provide lock/unlock support cannot handle fatx.

Yeah i found out it would require a new program using the sdk or something similarly involved. Thanks for the support though.

It looks like Chimpanzee's Xbox cloning / upgrade tools might due the trick though! Too bad it isnt on xbins ftp because that account goes through bandwidth quick!
