you could try flashing from the xbox itself with flashX (xecuter flash program)

set the mod to 1mb mode and unprotected

i HAVE TRIED THAT A MILLION TIMES..

wHEN YOU SAY UNPROTECTED HOWEVER, i AM ASSUMING YOU ARE
TALKING ABOUT SWITCH 4? i HAVE TIRED ON & OFF..

i HAVE EVERY CONFIG.. ON THAT SCREEN... i HAVE A PRINTOUT OF THAT WITH ABOUT 20 NOTES ON IT THAT I HAVE TIRED....

switch 4 on = unprotected, 123 off means 1 meg mode

somehthing has happend to the chip
i would definately check all the cables you have on the inside for secure connections on not only the soldering points but the different cables including your mini ide cable to the programmer port
