X2 4983 Affecting Original M$ Dash
« on: May 25, 2004, 09:47:00 AM »

Have you noticed that the bios X2 4983 affects the parental control settings of the MS dashboard. Do this, Boot up your xbox with the bios X2 4983. Now Choose the MS dashboard. Now go to settings. You'll see everything that's supposed to be there except the Parental Control Settings. Now if you were to disable the modchip. You see that the Parental Control settings reappeared.

Must depend on the chip as well. I use 4983 on my Aladdin and tried it - "parental control" still showed up with it on or off.
I can't actually believe that I was bored enought to try that, when it is a setting I never use!
