Just a quick one.

How reliable is flashing BIOS.
How often will it fry your chip.

I have tried EvoX but it won't flash. I was told on the forums to use Xflash for SSTxxxxx.v2 as I am using an Aladdin V2 modchip.

I have a modded EvoM7 256k BIOS that I have added LBA48 all to F: support as I want to throw in a 200 GB HDD.

If it is likely to fry my chip I would probably just throw in a 120....

flashing bios should never damage your chip (but of course in case of black-out if the flash isn't finished yet the xbox die.....)
