was just wondering, does the platinum version of SC work with the game save exploit?

Whoa..you should get this info to the tutorial guys.  Maybe MS didn't find out about the SC exploit until it was too late to change it in the PH edition.

i've read around.  people say SC platium works.  only for SC

I can tell you guys that a version of 007 platinum hits works for TSOp, so i know its exploitable for softmod as well, just never tried, i always use splinter cell..

But for the record, 007 platinum hits works and is exploitable too, if u get the right one.

Just bought SC Platinum from walmart.  Works like a charm on a 1.6.

So the consensus is that only Mech Assault absolutely requires the original?

If so, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

That means I went around the city looking in every used electronics store for nothing

I can confirm the above, although the mech assault is not that cut and dry, some of the platinums do work, yu need to check the actual CD.  Look at the Centre of the CD and check the serial numbers. MS02301L is the original working version, and MS02308L is the patched verson which will not work.   All 007 and SC's work as far I know. (Infact Ive only used Platinum 007 and SC's)

Very cool indeed! I knew that from the tutorials that I read and tring the search button on both the main site and in the forms it stated the MA HAD to be origional, but I couldnt find anything on SC or AUF, and I looked high and low in my town and the only thing that was left carried was platinum hits of SC and AUF.

Exploitable games:

007: Agent Under Fire - can be origional or platinum hits

Splinter Cell - can be origional or platinum hits

MechAssult - Must have a CD serial (around the center) of MS02301L in order for the platinum to work, or an origional (non-platinum) in order to work.

I assume your in the UK ... the UK classics spread over the working and not.  You will need to do the disk serial check ..
