I used to have the regular 4981.06 BIOS(512) on my chip, and Halo Cache Editor worked fine.  I then reflashed to the 4981.06 blue colormod BIOS(512).  Now when I use IGR, and then when I choose HCE from the apps menu in EvoX, the app hangs at the loading screen!  HCE works when I restart or if I open up boXplorer and go to the HCE folder and choose the default.xbe!  Is this a BIOS problem or an HCE problem.  All other apps work fine!  Please tell me how I can fix this problem.  Thanks!

Do you have HCE v0.7? What Evox do you have? I use my 4981.06 and 4983.06 purple BIOSes and HCE v0.7 works. I am runing Evox 3935.

I have EvoX 1.8.3752(its in my sig).  Yes, I'm using HCE v.07.

Try updating to Evox 3935 that might be the cause.

I use avalaunch as my dash, and HCE seems to hang on me sometimes after an IGR too.  I use the regular 4981.06 bios.  It doesn't always hang though, only sometimes.  So that being said it's probably not a dashboard problem.

Humm I have all four of my banks flashed with diffrent BIOSes 49* 81.06, 83.06, my custom 81.06, and 83.06 HCE does not hang with me I use UnleashX and Evox both work fine. Sorry I cant help any more.

If you're using Avalaunch then that is your problem.  Avalaunch uses both the X and Z drives which makes Cache editing not work.  If you'd rather edit cache then don't use Ava....I prefer using ava to editing halo cache files.
