i forget how to do it with mspaint, and can't figure out how to do it with photoshop any more
but i know PS you can set the transparency color
i know how to start a new image with transparency color, maybe i'll go from there rather than mod my prexisting one

but i still don't understand how the transparent color can be keep, since my prog convert .bmp into raw files and the compress them into RLE format....

yeah i figured the way that the program converted it's files it would be pointless to keep a transparent bg color, let alone trying to make it 100x19

For the white background being grey, this must be the way the logo is encoded, with only 4 bits. So white is F0 instead of FF.
Some code into the bios must be change...

so has any body figured out how to get a good working white bg for the logo?  I wonder if angelfly could as she prolly already knows the offsets for x2 bios (atleast 4981.06). Is there away to disable the splash? if i use xbtool it will come up as black. any ideas?

the only thing that is grey is the background of the MS word replacement, the actuall background of the bios is white

there isn't a way to get a white bg for the text with the current program

Oh, sorry i wasnt very clear...

Thats what i ment, the backround of the X logo is white, but the little "MS" replacement (the little rectangle) does not use a white color, it uses a grey. You can only tell if you use the white backround obviously, because when it is surrounded by black it appears white.

It's fine, ill find a creative way to make it look not ugly for now
