hmmm,  i just wanted to know if im patching correctly if command prompt popping up for a split second while running the gui is correct,  and if i use only blak and white pixels will that be RLE compressed

One of the GUI's did not work for me, but the one written by neo-dilly worked perfectly and created an output.bin that flashed and works great.

In the m7 bios, when no cd is inside it displays MS, when i insert the
slayers disk, it says matrix inside.

with M7 ( evox bios ), the logo is taken from the .xbe
so with no cd, it takes the logo from the HD ( evoxdash.xbe or xboxdash.xbe or ... ). Here it seems that you boot on the MS dash, so you have the MS logo.
With the slayer's disk, it boot on evox, so you have this stupid matrix inside

Photoshop 7 (PS7) works well, but I couldn't get the text tool to output at the right height(text too short). Read this whole thread someone suggested a few programs earlier that will make the raw images besides PS7.

I for one support Xecuter - they've been here since day one and they've given us most of the software and hardware hacks we all use today (unlike some who have jumped on the bandwagon half way through the scenes age and on the back of other ppl's work). Anyone who bashes them just because your boyfreinds tell you to - so stupid and lame. Im quite sure youll be shutting the hell up when X3 is revealed finally and then you have to switch your 4 week old allegencies from one mod team to another

in the meantime this little tool works nicely - simple raw image in photoshop changes the logo great

first credits to Xecuter for making the bios possible in the first place - second credits to the guy who developed the patching tool.

just create a new window 100 x 16

make the settings gray scale 8 bit

bang in your text - any font you like

save as raw image

impossible to get it wrong bud

You make it sound easy, but I thought it was 100X17. Anyhow with 72 pt Font and text tool, the text is too short(does not fill top to bottom of the black background). How did you get around that? I used brush tools to create the text I wanted.
