x2 4983 Coloring Tutorial?

we actually came to the conclusion a page or 2 back hat it is possible to change it to something other than r, g, or b, you just have to point the call to another number. currently one of them has to be atleast 1.0, but you could point that to a space that contains a 0 and use all zero's for black
i haven't tried it out yet as i've ben busy with other things, but if you can find numbers you need you should be able to get any type of color combo

Cheers i got it sussed now, got an exam tomorrow eve but after that i fancy making a tool to edit the colours of the startup ani. I saw someone has made a tool for locating the offsets in the kernel so wanted to take it the next logical step.
Will try to include the optionof setting the backgroung colour to white as well.

I was having some trouble with the 4981 bios but I figured out how to get by it.  I tried the 4981 blue flubber one.  It looks really freakin cool but it kept loading the ms dash.  I edited it with xbtool to load up evoxdash.xbe ( thats actually UX because when I was noob, I didnt know how to change where it boots and it was booting evoxdash.xbe so i renamed ux to evoxdash.xbe and replaced evox with it and been too lazy to change it).  After i edited it to load UX, it still loaded the ms dash.  I then tried to make it load avalaunch.  It loaded up ms dash again.  I than changed it so that partition6 takes up to 137 and than 7 takes rest and it wrked fine.  For some reason, it didnt like having partition6 take up all the space.

Just for a heads up so you know what to expect.  It also could have been an error some where on my part but wrx perfectly now.  I dont know if it matters but I have ALWAYS had the G: partition and i felt i wanted it all in F:.  I guess that might have sumtin to do with it.  If anyone figures out how I can fix that so i can just put everything into F: and not be loading up the msdash every time.  I dont like hexediting especially when messing with sumtin that can destroy my box if done wrong!  Same goes for soldering for me too.

1: unpack with XBtool
2: copy flubbertool to the directory with unpacked kernel
3: read the readme file for flubbertool
4: run flubbertool to change to your desired colors
5: repack bios with xbtool
6: flash bios

I did THAT! It still shows up green like a regular one. I put RRRRRRRWWR for the colors in FlubberTool. It still shows up green!  dry.gif

I think I know what the problem is. When you run flubbertool is there an output.img or xboxkrnl.bak already in the directory? if so delete them.

When I unpack the BIOS I get these files:

xboxkrnl.img
remainder.img
2bl.img

Then after using flubbertool, it gives me this:

output.img

Hmm.. any way to totally disable the flubber animation through hex editing (or some other means) for the 4983 BIOS?
