I just wanted to throw in my thanks and appreciation to nghtshade - i don't use xbtool often (there's no need to) but when you want it. you want it!  I spent about 15 minutes trying to get the newest xbtool to work with 4983.6, and then on the support page saw that it wasn't supported - argh!  So I had to skip the mods that were so easy in 4977, like the LED color, logo color, etc. - it's more than just pretty - it's also a bit of a diagnostic for if my xbit shifts. I flashed 4983.6 last night, and frankly, without my xbtool mods I may go back down to 4977, or possibly 4981.
Basically, thank you nghtshade for the great and useful tool - it's lack of compatibility with 4983 alone is enough for me to "downgrade."
