I have the x2 bios on my pc (not on my box yet) and tried to open it with XBTool to change the blob color. It gave me an error that the Kernal extraction failed. That's my first concern.
Then I loaded up the m7 bios (which is on my pc and currently flashed to my xbox, x2.3 lite) on XBtool and it went through fine and I noticed that the Xbox logo was set to blue already (which means it loaded on xbtool fine) and I went through and changed all the puke green to purdy blue. My xbox is in a million pieces right now as I am going to begin painting all the parts and adding led's so I can't test it for a while, but if I reflash this new bios will the blob be blue?
Also, after I load the bios and edit the colors, do I just do a save as? Or are there a few steps I am missing? What's with pack unpack? I didn't find any readmes and I've been searching up and down trying to figure out how this works and no luck.
Also, can I flash this bios over my old bios with no problem? How do I get that Flash Cromwell screen back up with "flash mode" so I can proceed with this? (I currently have the evox dash and a evox installer cd-rw at my disposal)
My topic decription is a bit misleading now, haha, but I give much appreciation in advance.
Edit: Wow, after all this searching I barely found the sticky on bios editting. But I'm still concerned about editting the m7 bios and all my second half bios flashing questions.
