For some reason, the two wmv movie files play really jurkey. Hey I have the complex video here.

Edit, played it in winamp, works better =).

??? What are you talking about?

The animation has ALWAYS taken place executed form the BIOS. This is a very LONG ACCEPTED issue.

The blob animatin is a Direct3D app embedded within the BIOS, executed on power up. It is not a movie. All meshes are embedded, meaning that changing them is only a matter of locating the data and patching.

smile.gif Right now color is the focus - but I'm sure after finally getting to talk to nghtshd we can pin down more - I would love to see ppl able to put their own ani in as well - but for now - baby steps lol


actually i just looked at that cpx clip again - they added in vertices to make the word "COMPLEX" instead of the blob. all the vertices for what you see in the boot ani is stored in the same place - xboxkrnl.img found when unpacking ANY bios. I chose an x2 4981 because - well - why wouldn't ya lol. but that unpacked kernel img file is in all bios' - so mod one - you mod em all smile.gif
