Just Bought A X2, I Think It Has No Bios

i just bought a mod chip from system-mods.com and i think it doesn't have any bios on it.  when i boot it from the mod chip it just turns on and then turns off then turns on then turns off  then on and then frags.  all the lights on the x2 and switch light up.  

my friend has a modchip... can i use his to flash some new bios on it or something.?

no all the new X2 chips come with cromwell preflashed onto it.

are all switchs set correct? enable, unprotected and bank 2.
is the chip correct aligned??

The switch settings dont really matter... he's fragging either way.  I also don't recall him mentioning a solderless chip.  

This would be better served in the Xecuter specific forum...  anyways, we need more details... what chip, etc?
