Ok, I backed everything up on my PC and reformatted the 160 GB HDD with the Evolution X format utility so I could get one big F: drive using Xecuter2 4981.06 bios. However, when I go into Avalaunch's filemanager the following partion information is displayed:
C: - 499 mb D: - 0 E: - 4881 mb F: - 144959 mb X: - 749 mb Y: - 749 mb Z: - 749 mb
This totals up to 152586 mb
To convert it to gb I divide by 1024, and that comes out to about 149 GB! Where are the other 10 - 11 gigs!? Any help extremely appreciated. I want to get this set up right before I copy all of my stuff back over to the XBOX. The HDD is 160 gigs. I want access to all of the space! |
Try dividing by 1000 instead.
According to RAM manufacturers...
1 Kilobyte = 1024 bytes
1 Megabyte = 1024 x 1024 = 1,048,576 bytes
1 Gigabyte = 1024 x 1024 x 1024 = 1,073,741,824 bytes
According to hard drive manufacturers...
1 Kilobyte = 1000 bytes
1 Megabyte = 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000 bytes
1 Gigabyte = 1000 x 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000,000 bytes
Hence the 7.37% difference you're experiencing.
