Problems With X2 Bios Manager
« on: February 14, 2004, 10:36:00 AM »

as what the thread says. having some trouble with bios manager. i've used it before with no trouble, i searched for anyone else with this and found nothing. when i load the .06 256k bios of the new 4981 it works fine in the first bank, when i go to copy it to the second bank it comes up with an error(you can only load a 512kb image in Bank 1 or 3. it will copy the bios to all the banks except for bank 2, weird. i load the .67 and it will work in all the banks. Think the .06 is corrupt. any help is appreciated.

Problems With X2 Bios Manager

I am having the same problem...

One thing I did notice, and I have no idea if this means anything....

The bios image created in this tutorial:

http://www.teamxecuter.com/biosimage.htm

...if you scroll to the bottom, the file description says:

Size: 512kb (524,288 bytes)

Size on disk: 512kb (524,288)

Now, the file I created using Bios Manager says:

Size: 512kb (524,288 bytes)

Size on Disk: 496kb (507,904 bytes)

Don't know what the problem might be though, I might try an earlier bios image and see if it works.

---btw the image I was able to create I used the old version of bios manager, but I think the image must be corrupt either way
