Bios/matrix/v1.1 Help?
« on: February 10, 2004, 09:16:00 AM »

I have a matrix chip installed on a v1.1 xbox with the X2-4979.06 bios loaded. However i want to use mode 3(disabler) on my chip so i can go on Xbox live. However i need a bios lower than X2-4977(in order for mode 3 to work i cant have the eject fix)  This is the problem. When i reflash my chip with a bios other that X2-4979.06 it wont read the F drive at all. Please help!

Bios/matrix/v1.1 Help?

I just did a Matrix install over the weekend.  Basically, I found two options.  One is to install X2 4981, which XBTool supports enabling/disabling eject fix on.  Personally, too many reports (including mine) of Xboxes that can no longer connect to XBL whether the chip is enabled or disabled.  I'm going to stay away from 4980/1.

I ended up going with Evox-M7, which is available with or without eject fix ... and reads F drive just fine on mine.  And, mode 3 works like a charm.
