k, this is how it works.  That logo that you see is on image in the .xbe that runs when you turn on the xbox.  So when using an evox bios, this image appears as it would with a retail bios.  The x2 bios patches that image to 'over write' it to display their own proprietary image instead.  There is no way to change this image, only remove it by using xbtool.  If you cant figure out logox, get the logo-x GUI.

Not able to do it at this point unless you know quite a bit about hacking and rebuilding bioses.

you cant change it int eh bios, however you can change it in an xbe using a program called logo-x

that way, whenever you load an xbe with your custom logo in it (usually your dashbaord) it will show up, however it wont work with an x2 bios, as their logo with override it (so youll have to use an evox bios) and it wont work when booting games (unless you change the logo in those xbes as well)

also, i dont know where any tutorial is for this

I wonder if there's some way to change the startup logo?
I use to have a blue X-logo and i said "Xecuterwhatever" under it.
today I tried out the evox M7 bios and now I have a green X-logo and under it says "MS".

sorry about the spelling, Im from sweden wink.gif

XBTool will do this for you... the word Xecuter cannot be changed when using an xecuter bios, but if you use an evolutionx bios you are able to change the words (I think that is how that works?)

i dont think xbtool can change that, you need to use logo-x and can only change it in an xbe (whatever xbe you boot to)

here is the weird thing:

when i purchased my premodded xbox (everything orignal minus homebrew chip w/ evox 3.6ef bios loaded), when i would turn on my xbox with the chip enabled, under the X it would say matrix inside.  when i upgraded the hard drive meself, i installed a new clean copy of the m$ dashboard via slayers evox auto-installer, now it just says MS.

so are you telling me i can change via the xbe that it first loads?

No Its Not The Xbe That Shows That Its The Bios, M7 Says MS And 4981 Says XECUTER2
