Have you tried different types of media?
Did you add a dummy file?

well, could ya just tell me what all i need to put on the disc, in case somehow i did it wrong, not sure i could have though following those tuts.  thanks.

You could try a much larger dummy file (500mb+). Name it AAA.AAA or similar (to make it burn to the CD first) - this will physically push 'bios.bin' to the outer part of the CD where the xbox DVD drive can read it easier. Also, make sure you burn at the slowest speed possible and select 'disc-at-once' (but I'm sure the tutorials already said this).

Yeah dude, I have the exact same problem. I've burned 4 different BIOS CDs and my X2.3b Pro won't recognize any of them. I've tried 3 CD-Rs and 1 CD-RW (burned 4 different times), and NONE of them worked. I still haven't gotten my BIOS flashed yet. BTW I have a Samsung 616 PC drive in my Xbox and it reads ALL media I throw at it.

the Team X-cuter tut said to use Nero, so i did, and that's what everybody else uses, and they get it to work, so i know it's not Nero.  i just don't understand what it could be when i follow Team X-ecuter's tut and it won't work.  do ya think i'm going to have swap DVD drives and use the one that's in my computer??????  i read somewhere that someone did that they got it to work. Of course i'll never be able to find that post again.
