It shows their arrogant attitude, however. It makes them prime for another group to come around and throw 'em off the top of the heap. I agree that we shouldn't bitch about free shit, but I don't think every bug should simply blamed on end-user error without so much as an afterthought. The breakdown- free is good, but not when you're demeaned and insulted when something goes wrong with it (after all, they do say, after every BIOS release, that it needs to be tested, right?).

Hi all

now yes i agree the bios and stuff are free..
But and its a big BUT when we the guy with the cash in his pocket buys these goods we expect to get a decent product.

look at the abortion of the 2.3 . I was personally told by "ubergeek" that ALL & ANY errors with that chip ARE 100% due to user error, then ten or so days later the quietly release the 2.3b with a oh it was problematic, and when team silly was approached with the quote from the original private message, and asked to explain, what was said "no comment"

It just go's to show the attitude of team silly, im only quoting their words not mine, to automatically blame the user at every problem that occurs with team silly products, this is 3 or 4 times this has happend now both with bios and hardware.

Once is a mistake twice possibly but three times or more is just plain bad workmanship, and when we ARE paying for it we DO have the right to complain

Regards

Yes igotgame, the problem lies in that people flash this bios on their new chip, without installing any dash.  Instead of the xbox booting with the 'xecuter2' logo, and loading the MS dash, they just get error 13.  Once another dash is installed, there is no problem.  And you can always boot from a CD with whatever dash you want on there.

Hi

well the single user will never really see a pattern of problems unlees the particular chip is faulty, but the re-seller / installer will

vidgms4me, I agree with you completely.  It is not a serious issue as TeamXecuter has posed several options to fix this... not only that, but it only occurs on certain Xboxes, not all.

markduncan, your reference to TeamXecuter as "team silly" is very childish and immature.  I don't see loyal fans of TeamXecuter ranting about how shitty the M7 Bios is; of course I'm not wasting my time looking but the point is: if you dont like it, don't use it.  Stop bithcing about it!

There are very few products release, if any, that do not initially have some type of manufacturing flaw.  Just look at EasyBuys history... its a joke...

While this minor bug caused me lots of grief last night trying to figure out what was wrong.  I still can't complain too much not like I paid for it, luckily I had another box open at the time to reflash the chip with a different bios..  I'm not gonna have any hard feelings over it, not sure what someone with only one box and a non modded drive is gonna do though. unless they have an x2pro, or an external programmer I think they're kinda stuck..
