Yes, of course you can, but heaven forbid people actually have to take 5 minutes to do something instead of 2!

I'd like to do this method but am not sure how. If someone could provide a quick tutorial on what needs to be done via hex I'd do it in a second. Also, what preferred hex editor are you all using?

No, not yet. Hopefully soon, but no definitive release date.

im just hoping the makers of XBtool are kind enough to dedicate time to a new release..
im too noob to hex edit without knowing what im doing..
i was thinking bout this the other day...
look how far the xbox and its hackers have gotten, in just around 2 years, and most people do it for fun!.. my thanks goes out to all these people and teams...
peace out

True that man. I'll wait patiently for XBtool. I looked at the code in a hexeditor, and although I think I could manage if there was a .357 pointed at my head, I've got better things to stress out over...

NOTE: After further testing a lot has changed. Now the part concerning dashboard booting has gone from
CODE
\Device\CdRom0\default.xbe..
\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\evoXdash.xbe...
\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\avadash.xbe....
\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\mxmdash.xbe....
\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\xboxdash.xbe
to just the part that starts with ****X3MAGIC!****.
I completely removed the above code from the bios and it still booted to whatever names where below ****X3MAGIC!****
Can anyone else confirm this?
