There's actually still one way to fix it, but its tough as hell and can possibly make things worse.

But hell, its already fried eh?

Either you can boot the Enigmah Video Switcher disc and use it to correct your video, or you can use a program like ConfigMagic to restore a good EEPROM backup (Must be good or else your done for).

Problems with this - well - you gotta be pretty damned familiar with your dashboard to remember where exactly the "boot DVD" button is...

Edit: Unplugging it for 30 minutes probably isn't gonna work either, and if your using old font exploits don't do this! You'll get stuck in a blind clock loop and have to fix that then.

No, that sounds okay.

Try this trick first and then I'll guide ya'll through using the video mode switch disc.

Unplug your normal visual cable and boot it with another one in, like the AV cable or a SVideo one. I dunno, maybe it'll reset something? I doubt it but give it a whirl.

I'm off to learn about the video switcher...

Edit your EvoX.ini file to include the bold lines below, in the same position:

7) Now, this is where it all comes together. Make sure everything looks right over the FTP. Shutdown, and restart your XBox. Get back to EvoX and try to FTP in. If it connects fine you'll be sure EvoX is running.

8) Press up on the D-Pad to make sure your at the top-menu in EvoX. If you can sort-of see, its should be "HELP". Press A, and wait a few seconds.

9) Now, press A again. The Enigmah Video Mode application should start. Now to begin the massively difficult process of changing the EEPROM...press A to change it to PAL mode for Eurpoean XBoxes, or press B for NTSC which are Canadian or American Xboxes.

10) Now wait about 30 seconds. Just try to make sure its finished before you do anything. When it is, its hopefully sitting on the credits screen. Hit B and it should reboot the Xbox automatically.

11) Hopefully - you'll be unblinded.

12) Congradulate RiceCake if it worked, if it didn't, tell me.

You could hotswap the hard drive and install say, UDE, and boot that.

Course through all that suffering I'd recommend a chip. Besides I think you have a newer Xbox and I dunno if it even works on them.

Edit: Fyi you don't need to quote the whole thing, lol.

hate to ask this but which pc app should I use? I did a search and thinks it should be Eepromer Modified

But I thought the eeprom in my xbox must be flashed, not just a copy to pc and edit job???

Dont use that, use Config Magic Final, I seen a  warning about EEpromer modified somewhere...look around on the forums..

^ Well I never got ConfigMagic to restore mine blind correctly.

And as for this system.bin file, I dunno where it is bout it sounds like total BS. Unless somehow booting XBMP after deleting it will reset your Xbox.

And your error 21 is probably caused by a dead clock. Like I said you might be able to hotswap and try a recovery.

ok, Thanks! I'll try it altough i can't see a reason why the clock will suddenly die, it's pretty quick, the xbmp rebooted after i changed something in the vid settings, and then boom, big 21 error screen... sad.gif

well, im sure hope that restoring the hd will fix it...

Yeah you can use XBoxHDM to unlock the hard drive using your EEPROM.

But, how did you see error 21? Then your video settings must be fine.

You wouldn't be able to see 21 at all if the video settings were changed.

Error 21 means your hack is corrupted, and the clock must be dead forcing you into this error. Might've been XBMP or some other application messed it up...

Like I said hotswap it, that'll bring the life back.

Dude if you can see the error 21 it didn't modify your EEPROM at all. XBMP only modifies the video region, and since you can see stuff its fine.

But yeah you can use your original EEPROM to unlock the HD and relock it fine.

Nah it sounds like your exploit messed up some files on the hard drive, and at the same time the clock went dead forcing the xbox to boot bad files.

It might not've been XBMP, it can happen to anyone.

Yeah might be a hotswap problem or something.

Try just taking out the XBox hard drive without hotswapping since you have your EEPROM. Make sure its on the master first IDE channel, and just unlock it through Xboxhdm (Master first channel is /dev/hda).
