Still have the problem. I have tried eveything. Wish the executer forums were working. One question though could it have something to do with NTSC or PAL. My xbox is PAL.

I have worked out the problem. The problem is with the x2 4979 bios and the coding of the focus chip for the v1.4 anv1.5 xboxs. If i switch my xbox to NTSC the screen is fine and is the way it should be, but if i switch to pal the screen looks either slightly streched or off centered. Anyone know how to get in touch with team executer so i can report the problem. There forums are down at the moment. smile.gif

I am running mine on a 1.4 with PAL and it is fine, tried it on 2 TV's. Not really sure what could be causing your problem, have you tried another TV?. smile.gif

First off, have a quick read of this... it will help you know what you can/can not ask on the forums.

Second, try Xbins. Look in the tutorial section for how to use/access it.

I have tried every setup imaginable. The fact is though if i have the M7 or the 4979 bios running on my pal v1.4 xbox the evox screen is streched. If i switch the video mode to ntsc everything is fine.

Sounds like an issue with your TV -  I run X2-4979 PAL with no differences to previous bios versions.
Do you have PAL50/60 selected in the video setup of MS dash? Try changing the setting.

I have tried everthing including changing from 60 to 50 and so forth. The only way i can get evox to look as it should is by changing the video mode to NTSC. My v1.1 xbox is exactly the same and works perfectly. So the only thing i can think of is the change to the focus chip in the v1.4 xboxs.

i didnt bother to read the crap most of the people posted here, so if someone already said something then screw it. xbox modders should know this. but most of them dont give a crap to even make a fucking post. but not i! anyways... the reason for your streched screen is because of the bit that you may have used near the video decoder. when i used a magitic torx driver i would get the scretched shit your talking about. but when i dont use it.... well enough said. also... make sure that you put the 2 screws on the board that hold down the video cable connection.
