Well. It would kinda depend on what chip you are using. that is if you are using a chip at all. MORE INFO would be good. If your box was purchased as a premod some of them do not actually have a chip in them and have had the onboard bios reflashed with a hacked one. If your system falls into this category then you are hosed until you can get a chip that has a Cromwell bios on it. (Most of the newer chips come with a flavor of the Cromwell on them.)

i have aladdin advanced modchip , and i let the flash go through the whole thing. so i dont think its half flashed. it just said erasing, then flashing, then xbox will shut down. it was a premod. thanks for the help guys

ok, i opened my xbox to make sure there was a mod chip, and there is. i also had another idea, if worst comes to worst, could i take the hard drive from the xbox and put it in my computer and put on another bios from my computer? would that even be possible?

one more thing, when i tap the power button to get into non-mod chip mode it gives me a screen that says your xbox is in need of repair and that screen just stays there. but that has done that since i got it.

and u can't put a different bios on if u hosed ur bios and dont have a way to reprogramm it
