game: Soul Caliber 2
hdtv @ 720p
xbox 1.0
x 2.0
NTSC
xbox locks up when IGR is used for Soul Caliber 2 at 720p on my hdtv
so far its the only game that locks up....but i dont have another game that runs at 720p to test atm
it has to be something to do with the progressive scan at 720 because when i switch my tv to 480i IGR works just fine
hope this helps
edit:
update
IGR and 480p works just fine
so its either a 720p issue or an issue with 720p and Soul Caliber 2
still researching

IGR is best used when there is little to no movement on the screen, and not during cutscenes/movies. Just a thought.

I just read this thread and tried it out. I have Xecuter 2.2 Pro with 4977 bios, running in widescreen, 720p, and mine also freezes up when I try to IGR in Soul Calibur II. Don't have any other 720p games either to try with...

It's not a problem with the game, since there is no IGR. IGR is something that was hacked into the bios.
It's not like you can complain to namco about it.
No, it is an issue with that game. Its not a 'bug' in the IGR code which is what was posted. It just simply doesnt work with all games. Its not advertised to do so.

Evox or some other dash should implement a "disable/enable IGR" feature - like it copies the IGR_disabled file into and out of E: for you.. Automatically disable it for games it bones up, or something..
That makes no sense. If IGR doesnt work with a certain game... just dont use it

Why does it just not work at 720p? I have found the IGR works just fine at 480i, as well as when I use a standard s-video hookup
If it was a "game issue" wouldnt the IGR be pooched regardless of selected resolution?
Or are you saying that the game implements a bad "version" of HDTV code? (not 100% sure how hdtv "code" works, sorry if this doesnt make sense)
Or that the 4977 BIOS doesnt support IGR at 720p (a blunt statement like this would clear up lots of things)
Any input greatly appreciated.

And for others (including myself) IGR does not work most of the time for that game, regardless of video mode. I am not trying to argue with you saying that it does work, or should work. Simply that I dont see it as a "bug". But if you truely feel it is, I'll just leave the thread, and it will die, as it seems that no one from xecuter is going to respond.
Just dont feel bad that you cant get it to work, as it doesnt work for many many others,
