4978 Ftp Help
« on: October 04, 2003, 11:44:00 AM »

I'm trying to load EvoX on my friends xbox modded with x2.1 pro. I flashed the bios with 4978.03 bios with the IP 192.168.0.2. I flashed MY xbox with the same bios, and I can FTP into my xbox, but I cant with his. My client just says "Connected to 192.168.0.2", and stays there.
Suggestions?

I don't need a firewall and don't use one. I'm behind a LAN with a hardware firewall.

Which FTP client are you using?  Id try using FlashFXP, its the basis of most tutorials used here.  Also are you using a wireless connection of some sort?  Is your network setup for DHCP?  Are you using the Evox boot disk?  You should boot from a CD-RW, and find out what IP address its pulling.

Yea, I use FlashFXP, and I can't boot an EvoX boot disc on his XBOX...it won't read it. It's a DVD-R and a Thompson drive...that's why I flashed it with 4978.03 because it's got FTP in it.

What media are you using?  Ive got the thompson also, but havent had problems with it.

If it sits in the connecting stage, im assuming your not using the correct IP Address.

Every Thomson I have encountered reads DVD-R. Even the cheapest DVD-R. huh.gif

And i could never get connected to 4978 thru FlashFXP either. I used the same IP also. unsure.gif
