M7 Bios
« on: October 01, 2003, 01:39:00 PM »

Let's see..........

The M7 is actually a 256k bios, it's similar in function to the d6, it also works with 1.4/1.5 version boxes, unlike the d6 which works on 1.3 and earlier.  The 4977 is the xecuter bios of choice for me, also 256k.  Read a little more to see which would suite you better.

All above fit and work on the executer chips.

The M7 bios is not 2 megabytes.

2 megabits (which is 256k), certainly, but not bytes.

modderdude: just combined 4 threads of yours into 2, I'm sure I wil find more.  Please keep your bios questions in the bios forum, and out of the xecuter chips, and evolution dashboard forums.  (And posting the same question across multiple forums is frowned upon as well)

EDIT: Make that, about a dozen threads I just cleaned up.  When you have a problem, keep it all in one thread, its easier for people to follow, and help you better.  And please do your best to use proper english, complete sentences, and punctuation.  And lastly, do not request files on the forums.

biggrin.gif You will get this box modded!!!!!!  The M7 bios is made by the wonderful people at evox.  So....... as you can imagine, if you have a unmolested version of the bios (an original), it is set to boot to evoxdash.xbe first, then xboxdash.xbe.  Those are your only two boot options unless you patch, or get a patched version of the bios.  Now get back to that programmer and get your dang chip flashed!!!!  tongue.gif
