Programmer Error
« on: September 29, 2003, 11:59:00 AM »

I have a x2.2 lite and a programmer i hooked everything up and flashed the chip with 4977.bin. When it was in the process of verifying (about 24%) the power to my laptop went out. I got the power cord on my laptop and tryed to get the information from the chip (x2cable i) and got the following error Unable to start driver!.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanx

You should check out this link >>>>>   http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act...50&t=63396&st=0

Read the whole thing.  I will help out a little and give you a statement from page 4 or 5.

Anyway, if you get the "Unable to start driver!" error, you should do the following:

Download Win_LPC unzip it, then execute it. It won't run correctly, but it will free up the resource to allow the driver to start. Close out win_lpc.

Then just go back to a DOS prompt and start over. It should work after this. I did not have to make any changes in the BIOS for any of this to work.

This worked for me and apparently quite a few others.  Any other problems please read the whole link I posted before giving up and posting.....  Good Luck!!

edit - BTW there is a link to the Win LPC program in that tutorial.
