There have been several groups release good BIOSs, some have become pretty common, great hacks have been put into the bios, and we've even seen people steal bios hacks from others.
Now, wouldn't it be great if somebody would release a fully customizable BIOS complete with source locations and expansion options. I've never cracked open BIOS code or attempted to write a BIOS myself, but I think it should be possible to take everything required to make the XBOX work and then leave a lot of space with hooks for things like Eject Fixes, Media Flag hacks, color mods (eject, loader, etc), logo stuff, IGR, etc.
Then using XBTool, the user would have full customization options and new hacks could just be added through the user interface with the latest XBTool version.
Thoughts? Do you think this would take the excitement away from the 2 main BIOS authors, or would it just give another great option for people to use that the other teams could get credit for adding to? :-)
