4799 Hangs?

I have been trying to mod a chameleon on a v1.0 xbox with the thompson drive ... i have the x2 4977 renamed to linuxbio.bin and i put it in the dvd tray and let it run ... it starts to do its thang, and when it is done .. it says it is going to power down, and just sets there forever. when i turn it off and turn it back on, still the 1.8 cromwell screen. anyone know what is going on? T.I.A.

not that i know of? i just installed the chip and hten tried to flash it, how can i know?
