X2bm Flashing Problem
« on: September 21, 2003, 02:47:00 PM »

Hey guys... I just installed a new X2 2.2 PRO chip... I am trying to use X2BM to flash my bios... I have used every bios possible and it just wont flash... I press the info button and get the device and code that is good... I input the bios into all 4 slots and write, usually it will say writting but stays at 0%... One time I tried a bios that was flashing but took 5 hours to finish then received an error... Im sure the cromwell that was on my chip is gone now so I cant go that route... in the X2BM v1.1 file I downloaded there was a  text file with all the bios's... they seem to all be older bios's... I have done this in the past with another xbox but everything ran smooth back then... I dont know why I am having so many problems.... Any help and advise is appreciated... I have spent days reading other forums and have not found any help... Thanks

I had to use the DOS based prog and flash with a 1 meg. bios. Worked like a charm and only took maybe 5 minutes. Good luck.

Try x2prodos.  Instructions are within the program.
