All the other BIOS releases to date have been based off of an earlier kernel version (I want to say 4034, but I'm not sure).  XBtool has been handling these BIOSes for over a year now.  M7 is based off a much newer kernel, so that is why XBtoo's support of it is still experimental.  I'm sure M7 can be made BFM, but it will take some time.

the xboxkrnl.img is still a PE executable. and since it works on v1.0 it must have no difference in terme of format...

so i don't see any reason why in a BFM configuration it don't work...
