Newbie question. I have just had my xbox chipped with executer 2.2 when I got it home I found all I had was a screen saying insert cd with bios update. I have tried for the last 4 days asking questions but no one would answer me. I took it back to where

I had it chipped and the guy charged me a fiver and put his cd in and updated the bios. I asked him about other bios and how to install them he told me the bios can only be flashed ONCE  is tis right

Still trying to find out how to backup games to Hard Disk nothing on the menu.

Please can anyone help

It's WRONG.

"Technically" - you can only use the disc he used to update it "once" - because you no longer have a Flash BIOS loaded, but rather a hacked "Mod" BIOS. You can still use Evo-X (or if it's a true X2 chip, Flash-X) to reflash it with another BIOS.

The message you saw was because the original chip had the FlashBIOS installed, which is a legal, Linux/Cromwell-based BIOS that uses a built-in flashing program to allow you to update the mod chip with a new BIOS. This is gone now, but the ability to flash remains, just not in the simple manner as before.

To backup games from your DVD drive to your hard dirve, you need something like "PX HDLoader" which backs them up, or a file manager, like BoXplorer.

The easy way is to use a disc like Slayer's.

Look, honestly, you are a newb.... go to "General Chat" and read the pinned thread "Things You Must Know About The Xbox"

Then go and read the pined threads in all ofthe forums that seem relevant. Got to the FAQ forum and browse a bit.... same in Newbie Chat.

Finally, go to the Xbox-Scene main page and read the tutorials and other guides.
