It's WRONG.
"Technically" - you can only use the disc he used to update it "once" - because you no longer have a Flash BIOS loaded, but rather a hacked "Mod" BIOS. You can still use Evo-X (or if it's a true X2 chip, Flash-X) to reflash it with another BIOS.
The message you saw was because the original chip had the FlashBIOS installed, which is a legal, Linux/Cromwell-based BIOS that uses a built-in flashing program to allow you to update the mod chip with a new BIOS. This is gone now, but the ability to flash remains, just not in the simple manner as before.
