what is the safest way to flash my X2 lite 4976
to a blue start up boot screen
i got xbtool i see where u can change the boot up lights to a cycle? i got a X2_4977_ALL XBOX blue bios from 256k,512k,1,024

so i take my flash protection off the modchip and simply place the modified bios i created from xbtool into the backup of the C:
and then what?. . . .
i dont want to ruin my bios and loose everything cuz i have way to recover
thanks

i used the method of putting the bios into the C:\bios folder and then flashing it using evox. it worked well for me, just make sure that you have double checked everything, including what size you bios needs to be to work on your modchip.

ive heard this doesnt work for everyone, but i had no way to recover mine either and risked it. Good luck.

I also use Evox and I have flashed mine about 10 times without any issues. I have modded about 17 XBox's this way  as well.
