Are there any improvements being made to the d6 bios to auto patch games like the 4977 bios. I'm no coder or anything but if they can do it on the 256k version of 4977 then it should be possible to do it on evox.

The "dominion-x bios" took d.6 + paul b's LBA48 patch + the same media patch used in the x2 bios.
Unless you have some kind of problem with 4977 (dont know many people that do), just stick with it.

The reason why I was looking to change 4977 is because of the whole error 16 debacle I went through. How does the clock reset itself-seems like it only happens with the 4977 bios, the d6 does'nt care about the clock.

The DomX 0902 has the X2 media patch, does it now also have the "won't boot with a network cable" or "won't boot Halo" bugs, or is it as stable as D.6?

What "won't boot with a network cable" or "won't boot Halo" bugs"??

If you READ some of the threads on the network issue, you would see that it is the EVOX DASH, not the x2 bios.  And as for not booting halo, the 2 'main' x2 bios's (4977 and 4978.03) boot halo just fine.

It had been mentioned when running Avalaunch as well (I have READ some of the threads on the network issue), but this has since been resolved.

Also, this comes from the readme file that comes with 4978.03:-

- Reported problems with original Halo not booting. Seems to be an issue with bios greater than 256k. Being investigated

So I'll rephrase my original question...

The DomX 0902 has the X2 media patch, does it now also have the "won't boot with a network cable when running EvolutionX" or "won't boot Halo" bugs, or is it as stable as D.6 (which has neither bug as far as I can tell)?

Not that I've run it, but knowing how it was created it's a very safe bet that it's equally stable to Evolution-X's D6 bios, you're just sacrificing bios implemented IGR to use it.

That's what I thought.  Hmmm... tempting...
