Just curious as I've built my cable and am using lamone's dual vga bios ...

How come there is so little interest in incorporating vga for the newer bioses? is it a right mission to enable this feature in the new bioses? Would there ever be a chance of a patcher to patch VGA support into existing bioses or would this be far too difficult/impossible to do?

Just curious as things look 10 times better through vga output ...

LazyGuru ,
so how would you compare the VGA bios that you are using to the PiXEL8 bios ?
I have never heard of the bios that you are using , when was it released ?
  Thanks ,

I am in desperate need of a 256k bios that has VGA enabled for my Matrix chip. I tried splitting a 1024k TA Dual VGA bios down to size but it didnt work and I had to reflash my chip. Anyone know of one that will work? Thanks for your help

I have just read the VGA post by Pimpassdaddy etc, fuck me you guys swear a lot! Anyway has anyone tried the chip mod by L33 that uses the LM1881 chip to extract the necassary H and V sync from the Green (Y Sync)? It looks like it should be fine. Anyone that has, maybe you could explain what the Burst/Back porch output is.

an easy solution is to use phoenix as a bios loader ( make a link in evox to a signed phoenix with a bfm bios ). i use this solution to make my xbox a debug one when i want  laugh.gif and i still use my 49lf020 for normal use...

But i don't find any vga bfm bios sad.gif so i'm currently trying to make one, but i didn't succeed:

It has been stated that VGA cannot be enabled in a 256k bios and I think this is the obvious reason that we have not seen it [ there is always hope though since we are so lucky to have many very Talented people in the Xbox mod scene smile.gif ] .

i don't think it's impossible.
there have been little developpement of vga bios, that's sad  sad.gif
Pixel8 didn't finish his work...

i've juste succeed in making a bfm debug vga bios, so i can have vga with my cheapmod thanks to phoenix laugh.gif

I am in absolute DESPERATE need of a VGA enabled bios, I got a vga cable but everything shows up green. Pinned the problem down to M$ not enabling direct VGA support so now I need a VGA enabled bios to fit on my 256k Matrix chip. I tried splitting a 1024 TATX bios down to 256k but that didnt work. Is that possible? where can i find one? HELLLLP!

use phoenix, to load a vga bfm bios ( there are on xbins )

you only need to fond phoenix signed with rc4 key and add the bios, put a link in evox to this phoenix and launch it when you want to use vga ( you must do it blind )
