Look at my sig and fucking search. If you make a VGA cable then you have to use either Pixel's 8 bios to correct the color pallet issues or if you use a progressive scanner I assume you don't need a bios because It converts the signal into VGA just fine.

MOD EDIT: Be nice smile.gif

Chill guys.  Anyway, it would be sure nice if the vga bios were updated, and moved on out of the beta stages.  Because right now there is quite a few really good games it doesn't support.  With games like morrowind, splintercell, and kotor, the game reboots back to the original bios, disabling the vga bios, as soon as a save state is loaded.  When this happens the picture turns green as if the vga bios weren't even installed.  Also the color pallate for 720p and 1080i games are all messed up with the vga bios.  There needs to be added tri-level sync to the vga bios, to get the color ratio (red, green, and blue) correct.

Actually, there are two debug BIOSes that have VGA enabled...PiXEL8's and TATX Dual VGA from LameOne. I haven't tried either one yet since I don't have a VGA port installed yet, so I can't remark about the LameOne VGA BIOS.

x2vga is a REALLY great VGA box.  Since I got mine, I replaced my TV (non-HDTV) with my 19" monitor... couldn't be happier.  Just did the 480p hex edit to the xbox dash and enjoy its clarity.

For PiXEL8's, probably (can't find the readme for it on my hdd), but LameOne's is multi (At least for 1.0 and 1.1 says the readme)

Has that been verified or is that speculation? I can't test it here since I have a 1.0 and a Matrix (at least until I can find the d0 and ground wire set for my X2 Lite 2.0)...

ok even it was for v1.1 people that have v1.2 and 1.3 will not have support

TheLameOne's TATX vga bios is the exactly the same thing as PiXEL8's vga bios (he used PiXEL8's debug vga bios and added a two extra features) except that it supports ver1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 xboxs, and allows the bios to be booted from any drive.

The vga bios used with a modded vga xbox cable works great.  It gives the best possible picture "true vga" on the xbox.  The only problem with it is some game revert back to the original bios after the first save is loaded, and the vga bios are reset making the picture all green. sad.gif
