Cannot Get Away From The X3 Ftp Screen
« on: August 27, 2003, 12:00:00 PM »

So everytime you reboot now the X3 screen comes up?  Is your A button stuck?  Is it stuck on any other controllers that are plugged in?  Is there anything resting on the A button of any controller?

try turning on the xbox without any controller (unplug your controller),
this will make sure that no buttons on the controller were pushed....

we were gettin error 16 on my friends box with 2 diff drives... we bought a new 120 hd and the error went away. when i would try to use evox cd to format the others it would take 2 seconds and say it was done even though it didnt do a damn thing untill we put the 120 gig drive in.

Based on your sig, you have an X2 Pro.  I'd suggested using the LPT cable to flash it with 4977 or another BIOS.  Maybe try a later BIOS like 4979 in the future, but hold off for now.

x3?! Im pretty sure its still x2.   Ill second xeero's idea to use the cable and flash with the parallel cable to insure a propre flash.  4977.  And if it still messes up try 4976.02

yes, it is an x2 bios, but the ftpd is an x3 feature, and says x3 in the bios (or rather, in the xbe, in the bios).
